Mental health counseling is affordable, and New Leaf Counseling offers many ways to pay.
Figuring out insurance, billing, and what to expect financially can feel confusing or even overwhelming—especially when you’re already taking the brave decision to start therapy. Below gives an overview of how billing works.
Insurance
There are many insurance plans and many cover mental health services. While New Leaf Counseling accepts the insurance carriers listed below, coverage depends on your specific plan. Do you have a copay, a specific amount you pay when you visit a healthcare provider or a deductible which is the amount you pay for covered health care services before your insurance plan starts to pay (for example, with a $2,000 deductible, you pay the first $2,000 of covered services yourself and then insurance will pay all or a portion of it). To get a clear understanding of your insurance coverage to see a Cincinnati therapist and use insurance, we recommend calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card.
Self-Pay
There are several reasons a client might choose self-pay. One being their preference to not have a diagnosis or to disclose a diagnosis to their insurance company, or to avoid constraints on the length and frequency of sessions. Another being that our practice and mental health providers are Out-of-Network. And finally, not having insurance. New Leaf Counseling provides superbills to those who wish to submit statements to their insurance carrier for potential and/or partial reimbursement.
